Paul Jackson - British military veteran

Long Beach, Calif. - July 8, 2003. Paul Jackson, a disabled British military veteran from Tamworth, Staff, Great Britain, is competing in the 23rd National Veterans Wheelchair Games, being held through July 9 in Long Beach. With nearly 550 athletes from 46 states, Puerto Rico, and Great Britain, this is the largest annual wheelchair sports event in the world. All athletes are military veterans who use wheelchairs due to spinal cord impairment, certain neurological conditions, orthopedic amputations or other disabilities. Jackson, 50, is a paraplegic.
